The Basics Of Audits

Quality control and company audits are a standard practice in China. For nearby Myanmar, similar processes will need to be in place for any company to run successfully. If you are considering a company audit in Myanmar, you will first need to understand the basic options you have to decide what is best for your business.

The Various Stages

There are a few stages to a fully comprehensive audit. While it is possible to break the audit into different parts and partake in only one or two, it is always recommended to take on a full monitoring audit. This means all parts of the audit process are done over a few days to ensure everything is going well from start to finish.

As you can imagine, the various audit options come at different parts of the production timeline. Starting at the beginning, the first assessment audit deals a lot with paperwork and records as well as the plans for the beginning stages of production. This includes checking out the human resources plans, the various relationships you have with suppliers, and the all-important document verification to ensure everything is up to speed.

The full monitoring audit mentioned earlier is the main type of audit you likely think of when you are using a new supplier. It usually takes a few days to fully check out every part of the production process so you can be sure you are working with the highest quality standards possible. With this type of audit, you can easily and quickly tell if a supplier is worth working with or if they will potentially give you problems down the line.

Last but certainly not least is what is called the social audit. The social audit includes checks for all laws and regulations in regards to workers. This includes appropriate compensation, working hours, child labor, and other types of human resources checks.

It’s All About Preparation

If you are wondering why you should use the services of an outside auditor, think about the importance of quality control. Having a reliable and well-known company and products are imperative to having a successful business. An auditor can help you enjoy your practices and production are within the correct standards and are following all regulations.

Preparation is key with any large business. Being sure to check all of the boxes when taking on new suppliers can not only give you peace of mind but also help the business grow. Being able to continue production with minimal interruption is always an important undertaking. Having experienced auditors can really help in the process.

Taking part in a full company audit in Myanmar or China can only benefit a company or business. Using this type of outside service gives you an unbiased and incredibly helpful overview which allows your business to improve, grow and thrive.

Compliant in many ways

Can you honestly say that you know every single way in which your company needs to stay compliant? In case you haven’t heard of every rule and regulation related to compliancy, you may be in need of some help. Social compliance audit companies will have the expertise and knowledge to keep every aspect of your company in full compliance while ensuring everyone’s rights are upheld.

You can think of these audit companies as a type of human resources for every aspect of your production process. For example, being socially compliant means upholding the rights of workers, including eliminating forced labor or child labor. It also means keeping health and safety as a top priority and ensuring full compensation for any work done on the premises. Another aspect that needs to be in full compliance is the working environment and the hours worked.

Ethically sound

Being ethically, socially, and morally sound means keeping compliant with specific rules and regulations surrounding these aspects. There may be areas within your production process where you are not quite being compliant, or there may be things you have missed. Using an audit company means finding these hiccups and addressing them with an appropriate action plan.

Social accountability is an important factor for a company. Of course, it is one thing to be socially and ethically compliant and another to really practice what you preach. It’s important that companies take full charge and ownership of their actions to ensure that the steps they put in place are taken seriously by everyone.

Upholding rights

All staff are encouraged to know and understand rules and regulations surrounding the rights of workers so that there is sustainable accountability. If everybody helps to keep each other in check, there will likely be less room for error. Audit companies can help with these checks and balances to keep a company compliant and safe.

There are multiple ways a company can be audited to keep in line with certain workers regulations. The first assessment audit and the monitoring audit help with the beginning and production phases of the production process. Inspecting Production Through The Entire Process

Choosing a China inspection company to help with inspecting and servicing your wares can go a long way in quality control.

Working every single day towards your company’s goals takes a lot of dedication and hard work. Having a company that involves a large production process means there are things that could go wrong. If something goes wrong, this could halt production and even mean losses for the company. To help stop any of these negative situations from happening, consider hiring a China inspection company.

Start at the beginning

The initial production check, or IPC, is a great starting point for a full-blown inspection. This type of service check means catching any problems before they become too big to handle. The problems that may need to be dealt with at this stage are usually with production tools, raw materials and other processes at the beginning of the line.

The initial production check is also a great stage for an inspection company to get a feel for the processes they are to inspect. There is the opportunity to check out production samples as well as gain insight into the production methods and schedules that the company works on.

During the production process

The main check that many companies do for important quality checks is called the dupro inspection. Dupro is a shortened version of the phrase “during production” inspection. The during production inspection process involves quality checks of the products and processes you are putting out.

Dupro is important due to the timing in the process. Checking the goods before they are shipped out allows a company time to make any corrections or changes that need to be made. You likely have high expectations for your product to have the best quality it can have. This can include size, weight, packaging and workmanship. Inspectors can assist in ensuring you meet the acceptance quality standards.

Last but not least

The final random inspection, or FRI, takes place right before shipment. As you may have guessed, this inspection is done randomly on some of the products to have one last check of things before they go into the hands of the consumer.

This final random inspection includes checking the packing and packaging in general and looking at how things are packed for shipping. This inspection checks for conformity as well as safety. With the beginning of the process and the main part all checked fully up until this point, the final random inspection is the best way to ensure nothing has been missed.

Loading it up

After the full production process has been inspected, it will be time to load the products up for shipment. This is a great place for China inspection companies to keep an eye on the end results before the product heads off to its destination.

From the first initial production check until the final pallets are loaded and sealed, having a company help ensure the safety and quality of your products is the best way forward.

4 Tips for Finding The Right Chinese Supplier

Having your products manufactured in China can help keep quality up and costs down, but only with the help of an outside inspection company and the right supplying partner. There is no one magic formula for finding a high-quality supplier in China, but there are steps you can take to help ensure you get there.

Have a clear quality standard

As the buyer, you need to be able to provide a supplier with the right quality standards. What may be important to you–such as the dimensions–may not be as important to other customers the supplier has. When you are able to clarify this early on, it will increase the likelihood that you will choose a supplier who can meet your criteria.

Learn about the supplier’s other customers

In particular, see if you can find out who the supplier’s top customer is. When you take a look at the work done for the supplier’s biggest customer, you will get an idea of their typical standard for quality.

Have sufficient order volume

Keep in mind that in China, a larger factory will often turn down small orders, but those are the factories that tend to be more stable in quality. A smaller order also doesn’t call for more engineering work up front, meaning that many factories in China just go right into production for smaller orders, which is more risky because they will then have to addresses problems as those issues appear in the production in process. Lower-volume work may also have to be done in a more manual way, which can lead to an inconsistency in quality.

In short, make sure your order volume is big enough to avoid all of these problems, and always use the services of a China inspection company to confirm your products are what you need and expect them to be before they land at your door or at the homes of your customers.

Remember that price and quality are linked

The lower the price, the smaller the margin for the supplier, and this means they have less interest in going that extra mile to product perfect products for you. Like many other countries, in China, it’s “you get what you pay for”–if you are paying a very, very low price, you really can’t expect to get top quality.

Of course, as mentioned above, having product inspections done by a local company on the ground can help ensure your final products are what you need before you even receive them. Quality inspectors can examine your products for flaws in function, design, appearance or safety, run tests to ensure they meet your standards and even confirm the packaging and final shipping address are correct. Even the best supplier can make a mistake, so pair your supplier with an inspection company to protect yourself from all the angles.

4 Crucial Areas of the Pre-Inspection Check

During a pre-inspection check, your goods are examined before they leave the facility to be shipped to you or your customers for delivery. Although sometimes overlooked, this is a vital part of any solid quality-control process.

When your items are inspected before they make their way to their final destination, problems or mistakes are caught right in the manufacturing facility, as opposed to you or your customers discovering them later. This saves time and money, and it can also prevent your customers from being upset about your product or because of shipping delays. Having to return products after you receive them because of flaws will lengthen the entire production-to-consumer process.

The Product Count

Many things can happen in a busy factory, from the shipping of the wrong quantity of product to an error in the delivery address that slows down the journey to the proper destination or results in products getting lost. For your business to retain its credibility, you need to be able to meet the demand for your products without sacrificing your deadlines, and this means having the right amount of product shipped to you correctly when you need it. That’s why, during a pre shipment inspection in China, the inspectors will check packages, confirm the quantity is correct and verify the shipping address is right.

The Products’ Appearance

Naturally, your goods need to have the quality you and your customers expect. This is why the inspectors will examine a product’s overall appearance, looking for errors and flaws, and will check areas such as branding, materials used and design against the product details you have provided. This is done to ensure your products appear as you intended them to. Protecting your brand and your reputation with your customers is the ultimate result.

The Product’s Function And Safety

All your customers will expect a functional, safe and working product. The inspections will include product tests to validate design suitability, safety, function and usage. Without these types of checks, you could end up sending out malfunction products to customers, and that’s at best. At worst, you could send out dangerous products that will cause major damage to your company’s reputation and potentially open your brand up to legal liability for any incidents connected to the unsafe products.

The Product Labeling

One of the most commonly neglected areas of manufacturing, labeling is actually quite important. Labels communicate product contents, quantity, transport stye, and the origin location of a product. Since a lack of important details on a label can lead to lost or misused items and angry customers, the inspectors will review your product labels to confirm all the information is there and accurate.

Quality is king among the savvy consumers of today, so if you have not yet contacted a professional inspection company for services in China, now is the time to get in touch.

The goods or products that you are creating likely have very specific requirements for them to be in great condition and working order. Inspectors can check for any little thing that your product must have in order to work well. It could be the sizing, the packaging, or ensuring all of the pieces are in the right place.

Knowing that you are doing the right thing by creating helpful checks and balances will keep the process of your production efficient and with a great end product. The last thing that you want is for your production to be halted due to a flaw in the system that wasn’t noticed in time. Having these checks and inspections can keep you on schedule with the production and helps with quality control.

Having regular inspections scheduled keeps everything under control.
