A Quality Control Checklist for Suppliers to Follow

Whenever a company orders for bulk products, it expects to receive superior quality products that meet some previously mentioned requirements. The company also expects to receive defect-free products that it can utilize to fulfill its purpose. Now, in case the product supplied is not up to the mark, this will not only harm the reputation of the supplier but also damage its liaison with the company.

It is, therefore, essential to maintain a certain level of quality while committing to deliver the products. An effective quality control checklist is, thus, important to be created to ensure that regulatory standards are strictly maintained while manufacturing and delivering the goods. This explains why some companies rely on quality control companies who specialize in checking and auditing products during and after production. Sometimes these companies are outsourced from eminent countries for quality check. Now, there are many of such companies operating in South East Asia. However, when a product is at the stage of production and even after that, it is the responsibility of the supplier to check if the products are worth delivering. To make the quality control phase a little less complex, it is wise for suppliers to maintain and follow a simple checklist. To know what this checklist contains, read below.

Raw Materials Check: The first focus should be to check and confirm that the raw materials to be used for the products are of the right quality. This is very important because inferior quality raw materials will eventually make low grade and defective products that would not meet the requirements of the clients.

Tools & Machine Check: Now most of the goods are produced with the help of machines and tools. It is important for suppliers to check these before utilizing them. Whether they are functioning properly or not. Otherwise, using faulty machines can lead to production of faulty products which will, in turn, will harm reputation.

Product Check: Also, it is the duty of the supplier to check that the product being produced, is meeting all the requirements provided by the client. The size, weight, material and color should be checked thoroughly to avoid complaints from the client.

Package Check: Next the packaging of the product has to be checked. Again, the focus should be on the quality. What are the cartons like? The weight, the dimension, the shape, etc. How will the goods be tranported? The cartons should be designed such that they are easy to transport. Fragile goods should have packaging that will keep them safe from getting damaged.

To produce and deliver quality products it is essential for suppliers to remember the above-mentioned points strictly. They must remember that quality control does not only prevent defective products from reaching the market but also secures the reputation of the company.
