Know About the Three Types of Product Inspection Available

Product inspection is a very crucial process for manufacturers before passing on the product for shipment. The manufacturers have to make sure of the minute details of the end product. It is one of the most high-priority works of the manufacturers. There are companies who appoint professional testers to test and inspect products before handing out to the distributors. The job of the manufacturers is really tough and tasking. Little mistake and damage of the products in times of distribution is absolutely not accepted. So, proper care and dedication are needed that will save the company from any damage to their reputation. After all, who wants a bad name to their company? I’m sure none.

There are three types of product inspection. Read below to know more:

  • Pre-production: This stage takes place in the initial stage when 0-20% of the total amount of products have been completed. The inspection in this stage leaves room for judging the capacity and the preparation levels. In some cases, identification of problems if there is any can be adjusted immediately. In this way it doesn’t disturb the production rather fixes a problem if any and then continues with the rest of the production. In this stage, thorough checks of the details of the finished goods are conducted. The raw materials, other components and packaging materials are also checked to perfection in order to ensure the factory is using the material it has promised to use.
  • During Production: During Production Inspection (DUPRO) is highly recommended when a manufacturer works with a new company or in times of making their first time order. This takes place when production reaches 20-60% of the final shipment. This gives you a clear picture of the process of manufacturing, materials used for the products and the flow of work in the early stage. This is advisable in the case of a limited quantity order as the continuous production can lead to major spoiling in the quality of the work. DUPRO is the vital and effective way of identifying a problem and preventing it from all possible faulty consequences.
  • Pre-shipment: This is the stage of final inspection when 80-100% of the production has been completed. Continuous onsite testing is performed with proper discipline. Acceptance Quality Limit (AQL) is conducted by major international and national teams of Quality Check (QC) experts. This is done to make sure there’s no room for any faults as it’s the last stage and after that, it is passed on for shipment. After this inspection, an ‘acceptance’, ‘hold’ or ‘rejected’ rating is received. In the case of other failures, they are mentioned too.

The above-mentioned ways are the process by which the quality of the products are checked, verified, tested and passed on for shipment. If you don’t pay attention in these stages, you’re bound to fall victim to not so desired damages. So, leave no stones unturned in the process of checking the quality of the products.
